I have been having my hair done at Shear Pleasure for years and I would NEVER go anyplace else! Not for coupons or Groupons or any other kind of promos other salons offer. There is no substitute for quality. Debi is simply the best colorist around. Plus, she has been cutting my sons’ hair from boyhood to manhood, and they would even drive in from college to have Debi cut their hair. And she always made time for them, no matter how busy she was. You just can’t find service like that anywhere!

I have been coming here since 2007 and I travel all the way from the Southside of Chicago just to have my hair highlighted and cut. Can’t go wrong here! Everybody is so friendly and they really know how to take care of your hair.

I went in for a trim with Kim. It was my first time there and it won’t be my last. Kim was very friendly and kept the conversation going. I then sat with her aunt Cookie, and oh my, I’ve never had a nail stylist take the time to help pick out colors/designs. I was there for a total of maybe 2 hours, but it was so worth it. I’m happy with my trimmed hair and love my fall nails. I will definitely be returning.

I had gone to Shear Pleasure years ago, with Danette as my stylist. They even did hair and makeup for my entire wedding party! We moved out of the area and I could never find a hair stylist as good as Danette, so at my first opportunity, I came back. The people there are friendly, and really care that your experience is a good one. If you haven’t gone to Shear Pleasure before, please go! They are AWESOME!

I had my first appointment at Shear Pleasure and I will definitely be returning. It was fast and easy to schedule an appointment, I was greeted politely when I arrived. The shop is very large and stylish. I was made to feel welcome upon arrival. My stylist picked a color and cut that was perfect for my hair and recommended some great products. I enjoy being able to support local and family owned businesses, this is one that I will return to!

I have been coming to this shop for years and I would not consider going elsewhere. I have a favorite but all of the stylists I have ever had cut my hair have always been very accommodating. The phone service is fine, but because the stylists are so good it is sometimes hard to get an appointment at short notice.

I first came here a few years ago due to the regular salon I go to not being able to get me in. I have not returned to my regular salon since then. The stylists are very nice and helpful. There have been many times where I have said, “this is what I want, but if you feel like it won’t work then do whatever you want. I trust you.” I have yet to have a bad experience. My only complaint is that the hair dye likes my skin and it takes a while for it to come off. I will continue to come to this salon for all my hair needs. I may ever try the other services they offer.

My haircut from Shear Pleasure was an excellent experience. From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in good hands (which is especially good, since this is a place filled with scissors). The staff were friendly, personable, and definitely knew what they were doing. With reasonable prices, convenient location, and a top-notch staff, I would strongly recommend Shear Pleasure for anyone with hair.

EXCELLENT Customer Service!! I was not sure of the haircut or color that I wanted at first, but the girls that were working were very helpful in helping me choose. I was so happy to finally find a place that actually does a great job with cutting my hair! EVERYONE IS SO FRIENDLY, I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND GOING!

I have been going to Shear Pleasure for the past 5 years for all my hair needs -cut, color, trim, and new do! Not only do I get compliments on my cut from friends, but complete strangers will comment on how they like my hair and the way the color as been placed. Shear Pleasure stylists can be conservative AND quite trendy if that’s your bag. Debbie is fantastic…I get compliments on my cut several weeks after I’ve been there. She knows how to plan for color, style, and a great looking “grow out”! I have also seen two other stylists and have never been dissatisfied. I highly recommend Shear Pleasure.

I’ve been going to Shear Pleasure for well over 20 years. Dawn who does my nails is awesome–and so is Cookie. Kim who does my hair is the greatest! I get so many compliments on my color and cut. Over the years, several of the other stylists have done my hair. They are all great. I’ve never had a bad experience in all the years I’ve been going there. Whenever Kim was out on maternity leave I didn’t need to freak out because I knew someone else could fill in to my satisfaction in her absence. I love going to this salon and highly recommend it.
