BRIANNE

Brianne is proud to be a part of the third generation of hair stylists in her family to work at Shear Pleasure Ltd! In 1980, her grandparents, mother and aunts opened the doors of the salon and Brianne's been an active part of the business since an early age.

Brianne began working at Shear Pleasure as a young teen, shampooing hair, and watching stylists work their magic. When Brianne was sixteen years old she began cosmetology training at Arlington Academy, in Buffalo Grove. Throughout cosmetology school, Brianne continued to work at Shear Pleasure, and learned more about the salon business with each passing day. Currently, Brianne works as a full time hair stylist at the salon.

Brianne specializes in hair color, cutting, and special event styling. She has studied under Redken, learning the most cutting edge techniques in hair coloring, including all styles from wild to naturally beautiful looks. She also has completed professional coursework with Framesi, Michael Cole, Wayne Grund, Aquage, Roy Peters and Martin Parsons, all to ensure she is up to date with professional industry trends for each of clients.

CATHY

Cathy has been a licensed hairdresser for over thirty five years and has experience in nearly all facets of the salon industry. She has served as a salon manager, responsible for training new employees, has worked as a hair stylists in the Deerfield and Buffalo Grove area since 1985, and has even worked as a company hairstylist for the touring company of Yul Brynner's "The King and I" on their last North American tour. Cathy enjoys a friendly and down-to-earth approach to hairstyling, working with her clients hand and hand to help understand their lifestyle, needs and desired look for their hair!

Cathy believes in the importance of keeping up with the latest fashions and techniques in the hair industry and enjoys taking continuing education to keep her at the top of her game. Some of the classes she has completed include hair color classes with Henri Mastey of Mastey International, Pivot Point Advanced Classes with Rita Klotter, and other coursework with Martin Parsons, Schwartzkopf, Redken, Alpha Parfe. She is even a personal friend of Redken and Jhirmack founder, Jheri Redding

COOKIE

Cookie is one of our two nail technicians currently working at Shear Pleasure, and has been a member of our salon team since 1990. From day one, Cookie has been dedicated to providing her clients with a comfortable, relaxing and fun atmosphere in which their nails can be beautifully transformed. Cookie believes that coming to Shear Pleasure should be an enjoyable experience where fabulous work can be created while having a great time!

In order to provide her clientele with high quality nail services, Cookie has completed extensive coursework in the wide ranging field of the beauty industry. After completing cosmetology school to develop the foundational building blocks of nail care, she has continued to acuminate her technical and creative skills by completing coursework with Creative Beauty Systems, Creative Nail Design, IBD, Kizmit, OPI's Circuit Training Program and professional sanitation and sterlization techniques. Cookie specializes in pink and white acrylic nails and overlays, pink and white gel and overlays, silk wrap extensions and overlays, natural nail care, hand painted nail art and luxurious spa pedicures, along with moisturizing hand and foot paraffin treatments.

DANETTE

Danette has been a co-owner of Shear Pleasure Ltd. since its opening in 1980. She has traveled throughout North America and has become highly skilled in hair cut design, coloring techniques, and perming. After over thirty years of being a professional stylist, a personal experience changed Danette and inspired her to become a specialist in hair replacement and cranial prostheses. Having a daughter who lost her hair to alopecia areata established a strong desire in Danette to use her career as an outlet to help other women and children with similar hair loss needs. Danette specializes in top quality hair additions and wigs to help cater to all the needs and desires of each of her clients.

Danette is an active member of the International Haircolor Exchange, Invisible Hair Certified, Look Good Feel Better volunteer, Jeffrey Paul Hair Restoration, Member of the National Alopecia Areata Foundation, Certified in Amy's Presence, Certified International Hair Goods, On-Rite, and is trained under many well known artists throughout North America, like Wayne Grund, Pivot Point, and Dwight Miller.

DAWN

Dawn is one of our two professional nail technicians currently working at Shear Pleasure Ltd. and is part owner with her two sisters, Denise and Danette. Since she and her family opened the doors of their salon in 1980, Dawn has developed an excitement for being able to bring forth both the technical and creative aspects of nail and hand care to create beautiful looks for each of her customers.

Dawn's goal is to fuse the two worlds of technical know-how and creative beauty, and specializes in a wide variety of nail health and beauty care, including pink and white acrylic nails and overlays, pink and white gel and overlays, silk wrap extensions and overlays, natural nail care, and hand painted nail art.

In order to stay current with the most up to date trends in the nail industry, Dawn frequently attends professional classes where she has received extensive training from Creative Nail Design, IBD, Kizmit, Creative Beauty Concepts, LCN, OPI's Circuit Training Program and knowledge in professional sanitation and sterlization techniques.

DEBI

Debi's creative style and close attention to detail makes her a true asset as a hair stylist at Shear Pleasure Ltd. Debi has been a member of our team for over twenty five years and enjoys the challenges it brings more and more each day. Since Debi has started at Shear Pleasure, she has always shared her passion for hair with each of her clients. Her goal is to make her clients love their hair as much as she loves making it look great!

Debi has trained all over the United States and Europe to keep current with the most cutting-edge styles and fashions in the beauty industry. She has taken courses and received professional certification with the Redken Color X-Change, specializing in working with all types of hair and color styles.

Debi studied under Vidal Sassoon professionals in London to learn industry staples in styling, cutting, color and chemical services, allowing her to work with all types of styles, textures and lengths of hair and has taken classes with Scott Cole, Wayne Grund, and the Altobello School to continually hone her technical and creative skill set.

DENISE

Denise has been a co-owner of Shear Pleasure Ltd. since its opening in 1980 and has been a licensed hair stylist for over 35 years. She knew she had a passion for hair since her early teens which has developed into an inspiring dedication to her clients and her work. Within the last five years, Denise has extended her skill set to include hair replacement, becoming a specialist in Cranial Prostheses. The satisfaction she gets from helping women and children with hair loss, alopecia and thinning hair has made her job even more rewarding.

Denise is an active member of the International Haircolor Exchange, Invisible Hair, Look Good Feel Better, Jeffery Paul Hair Restoration, National Alopecia Areata Foundation, Amy's Presence, OnRite, International Hair Goods, has traveled throughout the North America to learn the newest trends and techniques and has taken hair classes with industry leaders like Trevor Sorbie, Wayne Grund, Pivot Point, Redken Exchange, and Dwight Miller.

KIM

As a hair stylist at Shear Pleasure Ltd, Kim's attention to detail and clientle individuality shines through in each of her hair cuts, styles and colors. Since an early age, Kim knew that she wanted to become a hair stylist. Her desire to get to know each of clients personally, and to be able to help create a look that is uniquely their own has driven her to complete professional comestology training and extensive coursework in the industry in order to be at the forefront of this ever changing field.

Kim has succesfully completed classes with the Redken Color X-Change, in order to create a wide variety of beautiful color creations to fit every personality, along with classes with Framesi, Scott Cole, Wayne Grund, and Aquage. Doing so helps Kim gain the technical and creative knowledge necessary to excel in her career and to provide each of her clients with the newest techniques and options to create beautiful styles for men, women, teens and children.

Kim has been a member of our Shear Pleasure salon team since 1990, and has continually been a great asset to the salon by providing each of her clients with high quality services.

LINDA

Linda has been a hair stylist for over twenty three years and has been part of the Shear Pleasure team for twenty two! Linda's goal as a stylist is to create specialized and individualized experiences with each of her clients.

She continually strives to find that perfect color, cut or style that best suits each client she sees and always tries to perfectly match their desired look with their individual personality. When visiting Linda at Shear Pleasure, she listens to her clients to find their likes, dislikes and expectations to help provide them with the cut, style or color service that's just right.

To gain the technical knowledge to help client's discover their best look, Linda enrolled and graduated from Arlington Academy School of Cosmetology, in Buffalo Grove. Since then, she has completed a wide variety of coursework in the salon industry, with leaders like Wayne Grund, Redken, the Redken Color X-Change, Redken's perming and texturizing training, Tressa, Aquage, and Framesi. Recently, Linda has completed certification with Invisible Hair to provide her clients with beautiful and natural looking hair extensions!

MARY

Mary has been a hair stylist for over thirty years and has been part of the Shear Pleasure family since our doors opened in 1980.

Mary has trained under several different stylists, and has taken many hair color, cutting and styling classes to keep up with the latest in the hair industry, including studying at the Vidal Sasoon School in London. She enjoys all aspects of the beauty industry, including cutting, coloring and perming.

SARAH

Sarah is a newer addition to Shear Pleasure Ltd. She has been a part of the staff for 2 years, and has been a Stylist/Colorist for five and a half years. Mentoring under a Framesi, Brocato, & Kadus Educator her extensive training specializes in Italian Style Hair Cutting, Hair Color Formulation, Color Techniques, and Applications.

Sarah is also trained in Bio-Ionic, Japanese Hair Straightening System, as featured on the Oprah Winfrey Show. She has attended many education seminars for Color/Perm Training including: Framesi, Kadus, Goldwell, Redken, and ISO . The Cutting Technique Classes she has attended include: Framesi, Brocato, Aquage, TIGI, Sexy Hair, Wahl, and Andis. As a member of the National Cosmetology Association, Sarah keeps up on all the current fashions, makeup, and look proposals.
